MATERIALS / BUILT AROUND YOUR PRODUCT

Protection with purpose.
Performance in every layer.

From high-barrier laminates to mono-material structures and retort-ready packaging, the right material starts with what your product needs.

01

PROTECT WHAT MATTERS

High-Barrier
Materials

We utilize advanced multi-layer laminates and high-barrier films to protect sensitive goods from moisture, oxygen, and UV degradation.

Start with the product’s sensitivity and intended shelf life. The selected structure should balance barrier performance, seal integrity and the demands of filling, storage and distribution.

  • Moisture protection
  • Oxygen barrier
  • Light protection
What to discuss

Your product, required shelf life, storage conditions and whether a clear or opaque finish is needed.

A MORE CONSIDERED STRUCTURE

Mono-Material
Innovation

Our mono-material approach focuses on packaging designed for recycling, while balancing product protection, strength and functionality.

PE- or PP-based structures can simplify the material mix. Barrier properties and compatible closures still need to be selected for the application. Actual recyclability depends on the complete pack and the collection and recycling systems in its destination market.

  • PP-based structures
  • Design for recycling
What to discuss

Where the product will be sold, the required barrier, pouch features and the recycling guidance for that market.

ENGINEERED FOR THE PROCESS

Retort &
Stand-Up Pouches

We specialize in high-performance retort pouches and stand-up formats for demanding processing and retail applications.

Retort describes the thermal-processing requirement; stand-up describes the pouch format. A stand-up pouch is not automatically suitable for retort. Material structure, seals and closures must be matched to the product and validated for the intended processing conditions.

  • Process compatibility
  • Seal integrity
  • Shelf presentation
What to discuss

Filling method, product formulation, intended thermal process, pack size and distribution conditions.

FROM REQUIREMENT TO STRUCTURE

How we choose
the right material.

A clear product brief makes the material conversation more useful.

  1. 01

    Your product

Dry, liquid or powdered; sensitive to moisture, oxygen, light or aroma loss.

  2. 02

    Your process

Filling conditions, sealing equipment and any thermal treatment.

  3. 03

    Your market

Target shelf life, transport conditions, shelf presentation and local recycling options.

MATERIALS, EXPLAINED

A few useful answers.

Is mono-material the same as recyclable?

No. A mono-material structure can support design for recycling, but the complete pack, its coatings and closures, and local collection and recycling systems all matter.

Can a recyclable structure offer barrier protection?

Mono-material barrier structures are available in the packaging industry. The suitable barrier level and compatibility with your product must be assessed for the specific pack.

Is every stand-up pouch suitable for retort?

No. A stand-up base describes the shape. Retort suitability requires a compatible material structure and seals, with validation for the intended product and process.

What should I send for a material recommendation?

Share your product description, pouch dimensions, filling method, intended shelf life, storage conditions, destination markets and any available technical requirements.
